way to little info to make any call.
It in California and the total was about $1300.
Is there any way to knock that down. I already said i would pay for the damages but this happened over a year ago and in only to the estimates within the last two months. I got laid off just after receiving the estimates and am just now able to pay. I was looking to join the armed forces but with a felony that wont happen.
I'd recommend getting an attorney and see if you can do a negotiated plea. Restitution is important in these cases so if you can pay restitution especially in a lump sum up front this often goes a long way in getting the charge reduced to a misdemeanor or a possible type of disposition which may keep the charge off your record.
At this point in time should i even worry about the $1100 dollars that i had loaned to her so she could buy the car or should i leave that for another date. I mean these charges came just as i was getting back on my feet. I was going to pay her at the end of the month when i got paid. I want this to be over, I have other things in my life to worry about.
