Accessory to Armed Robbery
Recently their was an armed robbery in my hometown in Michigan at a gas station. As far as everyone knows they are still looking for the suspect. But the police know who committed the crime (they just cant find him), and they know the employee of the store was in on it (she allowed it to happen), so as far as i know they will most likely get a lengthy jail sentence for this, at least the one who committed the actual robbery (who has a lengthy criminal record). But my question is, they are trying to pin a friend of mine with driving the getaway car. What kind of charge(s) could he possibly be facing(I'm guessing accessory to armed robbery) and what kind of sentence does this carry. what can my friend do to help themselves. They have a clean record if that helps, they just turned 18, but was 17 when the crime was committed if that matters. He just made a huge huge huge mistake that i believe he was coerced into, i know he controls his own actions so lets not argue about that I'm just really worried for this person, they are a real good friend!! any info & advice will be much appreciated!!!

Q: What kind of charge(s) could he possibly be facing(I'm guessing accessory to armed robbery) ....
A: States rarely charge as accessory; they will charge as a principal.
Re: Accessory to Armed Robbery
If the person was driving the getaway car, they will probably be charged with armed robbery. Not accessory, but with full participation in the offense. He should get a good lawyer and, if his record is in fact clean, should probably try to get HYTA. (His lawyer will know what that is.)

HYTA?
Isn't that contagious???
