Is Naming The Wrong Person As Father Considered Fraud
I'm in West Virginia and my girlfriend (we are living together) had to take a trip to see her husband because their daughter who the husband was having his visit with had gotten hurt. While there she and the husband had gone out drinking and while passed out she came to to husband having sex with her and now she is pregnant. She and I are considering putting my name on the birth certificate even though all three of us know the husband is the father. What should I do?

Umm...Yeah that would be fraud...And not even possible to do really...
Even if the child were yours the HUSBAND of this woman would have to be put on the BC. When you are married the father is always presumed to be the father of a child his wife has...Kinda silly huh??

Thank you for answering - could any of us actually be prosecuted?

How do I know WHAT?! Who the father is? It can NOT be mine since I've ALWAYS taken precautions.

It can NOT be mine since I've ALWAYS taken precautions and the timing doesn't add up for me being the father.

Listen to your Mom....And consider that your girlfriend isn't being really "truthful" regarding the circumstances of this child conception...
