I have a H1B and am about to apply for a Green Card
    Hi

I am from the UK and have a current H1 B Visa and have been working here for 2+ years, my employer is willing to sponsor by Green Card.

What would be the procedure, as from what I have read I do not need to file for Labor Certification, and can then file for the petition(I-140) and then change of status (I-485).

Am I correct?, and can you file at any Processing Center, as some have shorter waiting times than others?

Adjustment of Status - H1-B and Green Card
The USCIS provides both a guide to becoming a permanent resident when lawfully in the United States, and associated application procedures. If as you suggest you fall under an exception to the labor certification requirement, you should be able to proceed with the instructions and forms provided on those pages.

    Adrian,

You must make sure that your profession/job is exempt from Labor Certification requirement. You must file I-140 in your regional Center.
