But by law, I'm allowed to say "no record"

This bullshit should be illegal because it's forcing us to do something that opposes a legal right that I know have does it not? Are you telling me for every school, I have to tell them my juvenile record? That should be illegal because that is protected and can only be seen through a court order.

Who said a word about "every school".

If you want to hear the answer, even when it is staring you in the face in plain English, don't ask the question.

Inquire with the service academy. If you're serious about attending and they require disclosure, it's not something you can afford to get wrong.

One of my sons went through the process (he's now a medical doctor) quite a few years back. He had no criminal background but I was amazed at how thoroughly they checked his background information. I'm sure honesty is the best policy.

chucky, can you tell me how it would be possible for them to discover a minor infraction under an administration that NO longer exists? The office name not only changed but relocated. Records are also destroyed every 3 years, and that was awhile back. I'm not challenging you in anyway, but I'm trying to find a logical answer to this because I don't see how they can find things in thin air without a source.

If you are intent upon not telling them and taking your chances, go right ahead. The worst that can happen is that they'll decline your application, or expel you afterward for the omissions on your application or an honor code violation.
