Possible Lawsuit Over Credit Card Debt After Bankruptcy
:(my husband and i live in Louisiana. he filed 13 Bk in 2003 and the bk was dismissed this year in Feb. now we get the calls from so called law firm in New Hampshire where u talk to a non-attorney account manager. they told me it was concerning a credit card account for chase bank for an amount owed of 5000 and they need payment or will file law suit for debt and possible do a garnishment or put a lien on something of ours. well my husband never had a chase bank card. the account was bought by someone else during the bk. had no idea. the only accounts on the bk were opened 9 and 10 years ago with the accounts charged and written off but they claim no such thing and demand payment or suffer the consequences. please little advice please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: possible law suit from a.k.a. attorney on 13 debt
The bankruptcy was dismissed because he completed his repayment plan, or because he failed to do so and dropped out of the plan? This debt was included in the repayment plan?

Please verify. Are you saying your husband never had a Chase card - knows nothing about a Chase card & therefore was not included in the bankruptcy? Are they coming after a debt that isn't your husbands?
