Are Father's Names on Birth Certificates Required
Is it a law that an unmarried teen MUST name a father when giving birth in a hospital in Michigan?
If a woman is not a teen but is unmarried, does she have to name a father in Michigan?
Can a mother, teen or not, put a child up for adoption without naming a father in Michigan?

    1. No.

    2. No, unless she is applying for state aide and they require that information.

    3. Absolutely not! For the adoption to be legal the father has to be notified and given the opportunity to take custody of the child.

    One question:

How old is the teen mother?
