Indecent Assault and Battery Charge in Massachusetts
Hi...I am accused of indecent assult and battery charge by a women I met online in MA. Here is my story....first date went fine....second date went ok. I had to cancel 3rd date because of work and she went mad. After I cancelled she send me an email inviting me for sex which I turned down...I have all the emails....4th day she filed charges against me saying I grabbed her and assulted her on the second date. After filing charges the next day she called me like 11 times and left me a voice message saying she preffered not to take me to court and to call her to discuss options of course I did not call her....I have the voice mail saved too and then she sends me an email saying I have to do some voluntery work. She said in her report that I was a middle easten male....I called my local PD and filed a case against her...I hired a criminal lawyer. My question to you is after reading the above is based on what I told you what are my chances? and how can any one register a criminal complaint just based of other persons word with out any proof. She told the cops that she sent that sex invite because she wanted to find out my ph number....load of crap.
    Thanks.

Make sure you take all of your evidence and documentation to your lawyer.

If you can show that she was actively trying to get you to go out on a third date, and didn't file charges until after she felt like you were treating her like a "one night stand", and that she already had your phone number, you should have a reasonable defense to the charges.

Hi thanks for the information. Based on the email and phone records the judge threw the case out. Thanks for everything.....there is justice and I hope no innocent man or women is ever put through such pin and agony.
