ID Theft

If any attorneys from either Indiana or Alabama read this thread, please respond. I am a victim of ID theft that occurred back in 2002. The perpetrator lived in Indiana and I lived in Alabama. I need to know if I can prosecute him in Alabama or if I have to do it in Indiana. Please respond.

Why did you wait five year to take any action?

It will typically be easier to get charges initiated in the location where the alleged offender is located. But after five years, it may be difficult to get charges initiated anywhere.
