Early Completion of a Chapter 13 Plan in Michigan
My attorney is out for a few weeks (on vacation) so I thought that I'd ask here... Filed Ch. 13 in Feb 2007 on a three year/100% funded plan. Original figures showed full payoff in 18 months. Final payment will be made next month.

Even though there is a minimum of 3 years designated for my plan, will my bankruptcy be considered successfully completed, via the bankruptcy court, within the next few months? I've heard that it wont' be until the full 3 years is up and that if I wanted to purchase a used vehicle, I'd still require the approval of my attorney, the trustee, and the bankrutpcy court.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are paying back 100% of the debt, you should be able to get your file closed by the court.

Did you mean you filed 2-2006 & not 2-2007?

My apologies; I filed 2/2006 and thank you for the response. I figured as much but just wanted to check. :D
