    Emancipating A 19-Year-Old
    Can you emancipate your 19 yr. old who is out of school,not going to college,not joining military? We live in Indiana, mother and child live in Illinois.

    Age of majority is 18 he is already a legal adult

    I suspect this is about child support. If the order provides for continuing support under the assumption that the minor is still supported by his mother, petition the court to modify or terminate the support obligation. Until the order is changed, you will remain obligated to pay.
