    Emancipation At Age Fifteen
    Hi. Im Kala Danielle, and I am 15. I live in Missouri with my legal gaurdians. My parents were filed as unstable to provide for me, so i was taken to court and I now i legally live with my cousin. There is just a few problems. I do not want to live with her any more. Im emotionally unstable with her. She doesnt approve of most of the things i like, and just for that reason, she wants to send me to counseling. Everytime I try to talk to her she ends up putting me down emotionally, and I cry. I try to talk it out with her, but i get embarrassed, and scared. Everytime we HAVE to talk, it's through email. She doesnt know how to let me live my life. She makes all my important desisions for me. I want to live with my parents again, or be emancipated. I just dont know the laws and requirements for Missouri. PLEAS HELP ME IMMEDIATELY.:confused:

    According to the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri,
    Quote:

    Quoting Missouri Emancipation Law
    In Missouri, a minor may be emancipated in one of three ways:
    1) your parents may give express consent to a court that they are waiving their parental rights;

    2) your parents may give implied consent, which would apply in situations where you have been living on your own, supporting yourself, and for all practical purposes your parents have relinquished their parental rights; and

    3) you experience a significant change in your societal status-such as an enlistment in the military or marriage.
    As in Kansas, emancipation requires the ruling of a judge.

    From what you say, you have neither express nor implied consent, and are not eligible for marriage or military service.

    The only state that would grant an emancipation to a 15 year old is Ca and thats pretty much reserved for Child Stars and pro Atheletes.

    1st: Your too young to be emancipated in your state

    Second: You have no job

    Anything else is of no consequence without 1 and 2!

    You can legally work at 15 however your guardian can for bid it as they have "legal" authority over you

    Talk to a social worker or Family Law Attoreny about a petition to return to your parents. However whatever was cause of removal has not change it isnt going to happen
