Shoplifting In Pennsylvania
Here's the scenario:
I was caught shoplifting at Walmart in Indiana,PA, when i was 19years old. I was cornered in a little office frightened, scared and crying and demanded to sign all these papers they told me if I don't I would be arrested and taking to court..... but later down the line i wa ssent a letter saying i had to come down to the state police to be finger printed and all, then i had to go to the magistrate who said if i didnt plead guilty that i would have to go to court and possibly pay both my court costs and the prosecutors if found guilty. so i pled guilty. what can i do to get this off my record and put this behind me?????
Re: Shoplifting In Pennsylvania
In Pennsylvania, if you pled guilty or was found guilty to an offense you do not qualify for expungement. Persons who have completed a probation without verdict program, who have had the charges against them withdrawn or dismissed, or who have been found "not guilty" in a court of law are eligible for expungement.
