Divorce of a Disabled Person
My friend left her husband and three days later he had a massive stroke. She has stayed around and helped direct his care but is ready to go ahead with the planned divorce. Are there laws in Oklahoma that would prevent this? He is mentally competant but cannot speak or use his right side. He is able to communicate.
Re: Divorce of a Disabled Person
Your friend should be able to petition the court to appoint a guardian to protect her husband's interests during divorce proceedings.
