Parking Lot Accident

Because the parking lot on the behind of the market was going to close.
So I drove out to the front parking lot and made a left turn then i made a right turn.
Then I saw a empty spot and decided to park there.
I checked the traffic and made sure there was no incoming traffic.
and watched the spot that i was going to park.
Then the white car came out of nowhere. Obviously the other side of the parking lot.
As you can see in the camera. It's Illegal to do that.

He was driving out at least 10mph and I was going at 5 mph.
When I realized that I already had the collision the car.
who could stop when you didn't expected any traffic.
and then the driver came out, I was very confused and i backed up and stepped out.
He(the other driver) told me that we should exchange the insurance information.
I was still confused and didn't know what to do. Because it was my first time being in a accident.
So I calmed myself and called my mom, who was in the market, working.
And told her that I've been in a accident so come out.
She used the walkie talkie to call the security guard, and he came.
He told us to back up and park our cars
so we wouldn't cause further accident or traffic.

Mean while 2 other people came to the other driver, one was his wife and
the other was... I'm guessing that it was his sister or a relative.
the sister? were inside the market when this happened
and were acting as if she were in the car.

Then my mom came out. and they were kind of leading us to do things.
Because my mom didn't know what to do either.
We've tried to contact my dad because he droved over 20 yrs
and had lots of experience. but his cell phone was out of battery.
so while we wrote down the information
like phone number DLs and things.
meanwhile they were saying its my fault.
I wasn't sure if it was "my fault" because i made sure there was no car,
and was going at a low speed. I was repeating to myself
"there was no car wasn't it?" Because I knew there was nothing when I checked the traffic.

So 3 of them took out the form that said "I am responsible for the accident".
and they told me to sign it.
Then told my mom. Since I'm a minor.
why don't you sign it instead
and make it like you drove the car.
and told her the insurance rates would go lower.
and they forced my mom to sign it.
She didn't want to sign it because nobody knows who's fault is it.
But they threatened us that we could go to court, and made us sign.
then the security guard took pictures.
At this point the fault arrow were pointed toward me.
They thought just because im younger that its my fault.
When this whole thing went by I was still dazed.
And couldn't say anything about it.

When the work was finished at 10:00PM
we went home and my dad was there.
we had a conversation and decided
that cash settlement was better.
because the accident was minor.
his car had front of his bumper scratched
this point we thought it was our fault.
So we called them by the number that they gave us.
They didn't answer.

2007-07-17
So the next day
we called over 10 times. They still didn't answer.

2007-07-16
Then monday we've got a call in the morning that the other guy made a claim.
my mom said just let them do whatever they want.
But I felt wrong about this, something wasn't right.
The progressive company asked us questions.
and we answered. but they were also making me say that it was my fault.
so i said no.
and on 3:00PM I went to the market and saw that security cam.
Then realized that it wasn't my fault. it was him that made a illegal move.

FEW POINTS…
#HE MADE A FALSE CLAIM TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY
THAT HIS CAR WAS PARKED AND NOBODY WAS OCCUPYING THE CAR.
#THEY THREATENED US TO SIGN “MY FAULT FORM”
#MADE A ILLEGAL DRIVE THROUGH THE PARKING LOT.
#THEY LIED ABOUT THE PASSENGER.
