Son Caught Shoplifting At Walmart
My son was caught stealing at Wal-Mart.
He has since went to court, payed the fine & seems to have been scared straight (as this was his first brush with the law).
The problem now is that he has admitted to me personally that he has done this (switched price tags) before a few times before he was eventually caught.
He is now worried sick about Wal-Mart seeking further damages in the instance he was caught on video survailence.
What are the chances Wal-Mart may contact us in the future about any previous incidents?
He's a college student about to start a new job & expecting a new born daughter this fall. This is really tearing him up.
Any advice?
Re: Son Caught Shoplifting At Walmart
I suspect there is little to no chance of WalMart doing this. It would require them to go back and review video footage and specifically look for your son in the store. I just don't see this happening.
As far as this being his first time - shoplifters are rarely caught on their first attempt. This should not shock you. Be happy he felt confortable enough to tell you.
