    Reckless Driving Charge in Michigan
I was on my motorcycle riding to meet my family at the beach. I crossed the highway and pulled a the front tire up a little bit. I had no idea that there was a police officer on the road that ran parallel to the highway. He saw me pull my front tire up, and pulled out after me, but I was already a mile down the road before he pulled out and didn't see him. I pulled off the road onto a dead end road where I was going to meet my family on my boat. When I came to a stop the police officer pulled up and told me to get off my bike. I had no idea what he was pulling me over for because I had never seen him. He told me to put my hand on the car and that I was under arrest for reckless driving, but never read me my rights. Once I was in the car he told me that I seemed like a good guy and that I should plead not guilty and that the prosecutor would offer careless driving. He said that the prosecutor would ask him and he wouldn't object. He brought me to the jail, but had to leave right away because he was on the dive team and there had been a drowning, so he didn't leave a ticket, he would send it on the court date. I had money to make bond, and was released as soon as they took my finger prints, and signed some release forms. The officer didn't know how fast I was going, but said he got up to 110 and I was pulling away. I don't think that he ever got within a mile of me until I stopped. I have no idea what I am being charged with other than the fact that he said I was under arrest for reckless driving. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Can I get it dropped completely, or should I try to get it dropped to careless driving like the officer suggested?

At a minimum, go to court and get it dropped to a Careless. You're charged with a traffic misdemeanor (a crime), so if you decide to fight it I suggest you hire a lawyer.
