Michigan's Unscrupulous Child Support Laws

The child support laws in MI are counter productive. The man in question has worked his butt off to pay for child support, but hits a brick wall at every corner because of an ex-wife (scorned) who has no children by this man. She wants him back and is determined to destroy this man's life until he is put in jail. That's her objective, to destroy him - - she wants payback. She became involved with one of this man's ex-wives to the point that this woman has gone into hiding and asked that he allow her to have the children adopted. This man's next relationship brought more children into this world. The ex-wife (scorned) made it a point to get involved with the mother of the children to work together to destroy this man. The ex-wife (scorned) made it her business to become involved in financial matters and legal counseling for the mother of these children for which she has no legal license. The ex-wife (scorned) makes it a habit to misrepresent herself, as she did with me. This woman continues to be allowed to get involved in this man's financial affairs and work as a lawyer with others to work to harm this man and his livelihood. Once he begins to move forward, she will make it her mission to destroy him. She wants his butt in jail and makes the mother's of these children believe she is helping to get support. Wake up MI! If he is unemployed because you allow this woman to continue, how can he pay support???? She has teamed up to have bench warrants posted, harrassed him on his phone FOR YEARS, destroyed his property, made payments by his credit card in excess of the balance due on his phone account and continues to stalk him. There is just too much to write. This has been going on for YEARS!!!! and the State continues to employ her in the Auditor's office. The court is allowing this? Is this because SHE works for the Auditor's Office for the State of MI? Something if very fishy here. There is blatant abuse of power and access to confidential information which is USED TO HARM ANOTHER by this woman, and it continues to be allowed by the MI court system with the knowlege of the State. She has broken into every phone account this man has had and picks up voice mail and changes his password. When and how can this be stopped. Can this man get the Federal Gov't involved to help? If so, how should he go about this? By the way, because she is an ex-wife (scorned) she also has access to his SSN!! You can be sure she is using that every chance she can get.

It would actually appear that his failure to pay court-ordered support is the issue, as if he pays the support nothing his ex-wife does will matter.

His ex-wife (scorned) doesn't like it when he succeeds, so when he is working and paying his support as ordered, she will work to destroy his success. Examples: text message him repeatedly to cause an increase in his phone bill. PLEASE...don't say he should get a new phone or unlisted phone or not give his # out. He has done all of the above...she finds out his new phones numbers (more than 5 to date) and begins the process again. There are so many other evil acts. He has paid out so much money to lawyers to try to keep up with this. The stalking law costs $500 every time it is taken out and lasts only 6 months. Once that time is up, she goes right to work again to destroy him. This woman works for the State of MI as an AUDITOR and has access to this man's personal and private information. She repeatedly accesses this information. She's a master in disguise. She has represented herself under false pretenses. Without HIM showing proof...he can do nothing. This is an impossible situation. I just wish someone would clean out her computer at work and home and take a look at what she has done. How do I get the Federal Gov't involved?

YOU don't. I would recommend that this man go to the police and report the harassing phone calls...Perhaps they can trace the calls...Or report it to the phone company and they could do a phone trap. Has he reported this to her supervisor at work?

He may want to consider NOT having a cell phone.

I still don't see how her action have anything to do with the CS laws...

My hubby had a similar situation with an ex who's a police officer. He stopped her by doing research and uncovering and PROVING what the ex was doing along with some crimes she was commiting. He then turned all of it over to the appropriate gov't agencies. from that point on she hasn't harrassed us at all.

Your husband can do the same and maybe it'll work for him. He needs to gather documention and or witnesses that PROVE what his ex is doing and how she is using her gov't position to basically harrass and break the law. Once he has that he can take it to any and all gov't agencies that are in any way connected to her job.
Good luck and I hope things work out. But I have to agree with the others, the problem is your husband's ex and those around her who are abetting her. The CS laws have nothing to do with this.

Your initial complaint was about the child support system. Now you are stating that her harassment has nothing to do with the child support system?

If texting continues to be an issue, he can check to see if his cellular company permits text blocking by number, or if it makes sense to either turn off the feature or upgrade to unlimited text messages.

Agreed...it just seems like a merry-go-round. He works hard to pay his support, she (the ex) teams up with the mother of the children and THEY go to court (yes, THEY) after the ex has done her legal counseling!!! Even though he is paying, it always seems to come back to him as the problem, when in fact, if THEY want to put him in jail (which is the goal), then how can he pay the support. It's a game so that he doesn't have a enough money to pay and THEY hopefully can put him in jail. The mother is just plain stupid and the ex- is playing her. Yes...the ex- needs to be dealt with, but she is using her powers via the MI Auditor's office to constantly harrass and stalk him, they know it in the court, but no one can catch her. It's a useless cause and down right sickening. She's lied and manipulated the system over and over. Sick...

You won't believe this one. He took a job in a different state recently, let his case worker know, started the job, his wages were garnished for child support - all of them with nothing left for him and a week later he was picked up by the police in the state he works in for a felony bench warrant. The day before he had called his case worker to find out if there were any warrants out on him. Why you ask...because the ex-scorned told this guy's current wife's ex to tell her that he was on his way to jail! What happened you ask...the ex-scorned called the Attorney General in MI and began this process. He was accused of child endangerment, abuse, neglect and on and on. He has not been allowed to see his children by their mother in YEARS! BUT...yet he can pay and take this abuse over and over. There has been contact with his lawyer, but he has not been able to respond because his house burned down! So...the State of MI is allowing this woman who works in the State Auditors office to continue to harrass, stalk and use the taxpayers money. I can hardly believe this can go on and on. She probably had his lawyer's house set on fire!

To avoid being picked up on felony warrants, it is best to (a) not commit felonies and (b) go to court as ordered. If you get picked up having failed to do either (a) or (b), it is nobody's fault but your own.
