    Is Every Filipino American?
Since the U.S. owned the Philipines legally until 1946 and those Filipinos are Americans being in a territory, does that mean their children are Americans too due to our child citizenship laws? When does the American citizenship stop passing down?

The Philippines are an independent nation. Citizens of the Philippines are just that.

Prior to gaining independence, the Philippines was a self-governing commonwealth. The country is a little unique, in a number of ways, in its long-standing relationship with the U.S.

i know its sovereign now.. Before that, until 1936 I guess it was just a U.S. territory. What of those born then? Are their children U.S. citizens? What about say in Liberia. Are the descendents of Americo-Lberians still citizens? How long must any American be removed before their kids and kids' kids stop being American?
