Concern About Child's Environment With A Teen Mother
I have a now 20 year old friend who had a child with a now 17 year old girl in California. At the time he thought she was 17 and he was 19. There are issues with her ability and safe environment of the child. He has the child in question 3 days a week and pays the monther 250 a month from his 900 dollar pay check. Can he file a custody claim? Or should he wait till she is 18?

He can file for custody at any time. What does current custody order say? If ther eis abuse issues then contact CPS

Currently no custody order is in place. He is on the birthcertificate. Her family was investagted by CPS at one time but I guess the issues was resolved.
