Assault And Battery Against A Minor
An adult acquaintance of mine has been arrested and charged with assault and battery against a minor.
He is fifty years old and the minor is ten.
The adult was on private property and the minor charged at him telling him to get off the propery. The adult held the child off at arm's length with his hand to keep from having a more difficult situation take place.
It looks to me like the adult is in serious trouble. Does anyone have any thoughts on this one?

The adult should avoid trespassing, and should consider hiring a criminal defense lawyer.

    Thanks.
That is exactly what I thought.
The adult is telling me that it's nothing to worry about.

It seems to me that a prosecutor wouldn't want to take a case they might lose.
Of course, there also is the fact that prosecutors act as business generators for the lawyering business.
