Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
In what state? You're charged as a juvenile or adult?
Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
As a minor much of the burden will be on your parents. You can expect
. Fines (less than $500.00 I would guess)
. Community Service
. Probation (summary)
. Likely ban from retailer
. Crinimal record
You can also expect if you have no got it already a "Civil Demand" request of somwhere around $200.00 to $300.00 I would guess. This is seperate from court and unrelated to any criminal charges.
Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
pennsylvania, how long do i have to wait for the court date and is it possible for them to not put it on my record it is my first time
Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
I believe in Pennsylvania at 17 you would be charged in juvenile court. That gives the court considerable flexibility in sentencing you, based upon such factors as your record and likelihood of rehabilitation. If you wish to know your local court's sentencing practices, your best bet is to consult a local lawyer who handles juvenile court matters.
Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
Unless you get 'deffered' sentencing this will be on your record. Talk to your Attorney about diversion programs and if you qualify

Re: Caught Stealing With A Friend
Charges can be filed at anytime within statute of limitations. Yes if charged you should consult a criminal defense Attorney
