Assault and Battery Against a Minor
    Hello,

I was wondering about whether or not I would have a case about an adult (18 years of age) who assaulted me (I am only 17 and therefore a minor). This person trespassed and broke into one of my friends homes and then, very intoxicated, proceeded to punch me three times in the head, where I then backed away from the fight and he was immediately locked out with no negative reprocussions against him. Almost one minute later though he snuck around the side of the property after being asked to leave and broke into the house and proceeded to verbally assault and attempt to physically assault me. After escaping from the house, I promptly entered my car and immediately drove away, but on the way out he and three friends (also adults) attacked my car, repeatedly punching the side of it before I drove past them. I was just wondering if I would have any sort of case to press charges against the person in question, since although some people may view it as a minor squable, I see it as a major offense.

Have you tried to press charges? If you wish to do so, go to the police and report the incident.

Ditto. Report it to the police.

However, I'm a little confused as to how this drunken sot and a few of his friends happened to be in the home of one of YOUR friends. Are there any other witnesses?

Also, in my state this would likely be battery (misdemeanor), and, possibly trespassing in an inhabited dwelling (also a misdemeanor). The fact that you are under 18 doesn't make his battery any more unlawful.
