Overgrown Plant
The issue with my neighbor is this - they have planted 25 feet of bougainvillea on their side of the fence. Here in florida the plant is a very aggressive grower and has very large thorns. They refuse to cut the plant on my side of the fence because they feel that since it is on my side it is my responsibility. I say that you cannot allow a plant to overgrow to the point of where it is a nuisance. I do not want to spend hours cutting this plant and putting it into bags for the trash. I have my yard setup so that i do not have to spend every weekend working to maintain it so why should i spend time maintaining their plant.

Re: Overgrown Plant
Where is the property line in relation to the fence?

Re: Overgrown Plant
the fence is right on the property line.

Re: Overgrown Plant
i vote for spraying your side with a plant killer. since they think it's yours once it grew to your side, see how they like that.

Re: Overgrown Plant
i thought about doing that but florida law states i cannot do anything that will harm the plant. I am trying to track down a florida statute/law that deals with plants/trees that are considered a nuisance - which this plant is.
