Moving Out

I know life isnt easy. But i cant live around a father that constantly threatens he's gonna kill me and hits me. I need to get out of there. I can take care of myself. I dont think i know everything, but i know how to make it in the world. Apparenly there is a legal form that says that im moving out and that im living with him. He just wants a form to make it official that im moving in. My mom didnt get out when she had a chance and now shes stuck. I REFUSE to make the same mistake.

If you can take of yourself, get emancipated. Get a job AND an apartment. Support yourself 100%. Then no one is liable for what you do (except you)Who told you there is a form? Ask THAT person where to get the form. I highly doubt one exists for your particular situation since you are a minor. If your father is treathening to kill you and hits you, is he really going to accept responsibilty for your actions (God forbid something happens)while you are out of his care. Like panther said, get CPS involved. Call the police when he hits you. Good luck with everything.

The fact that you want there to be such a form does not mean that one exists.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that?

There has to be something to make it legal taht i move out. Can you really just move out if your parents are ok with it?

The issue we were trying to explain to you is that there is no liabilty waiver for the person willing to take you in. Sure, if your parents let you move out, you can move out. But your friends parent WILL be responsible for anything that you do while in his care. Sorry. That's just the way it it is.

Adults are not automatically liable for any act of any minor in their care, so it is incorrect to say that an adult would be "responsible for anything [a minor does] while in his care."

I am aware that they are not automatically responsible but the adult COULD be found responsible (depending on the situation).

Wat exactly do i need to petition the courts for an emancipation?

If your seeking emancipation you simply walk into court house find clerk and request desired paperwork.
