Shoplifting as a Juvenile - Criminal Record?
Have a question, i was caught shopliftin at like 14 or 15
years old and i never went to trail or got arrested they
held me in the store till my moms got there.my question is
iam 17 now and i am applyin 4 a job at this bank and they
was like they going to to do a criminal background check.
would that come up, i didnt get arrest i just had to pay a
fine which i only paid half. they just sent a bill in the
mail i dont think the store got my social security #. do
you think they would see it on my record.....even tho i was
a minor .. i want to kno is it even on my record...?
no finger prints no court only a fine in the mail
Civil Fine versus Criminal Fine
If you paid a civil fine to the store, that wouldn't show up on a criminal background check. If you paid a criminal fine to resolve a misdemeanor charge, that might - although it woud be both an unusual way to resolve a juvenile offense, and unlikely because it would be a juvenile offense.

i dont understand wat u mean..."although it would be both an unusal way to resolve a juvenile offense..and unlikely b/c it would be a juvenile offence"
i wasnt finger printed nor did i have go to court..i got lucky the guy was very nice wit me...i got sumthin in the mail to pay after i did it and then my mom paid some and she is continuing to pay..but my question is would this show up on my record? i am apply 4 a job at the bank and they said they are going to to do a consumer credit check......i accutually applied at the bank b4 and they sent sum paper to my house 4 my mom to sign (which was good thing cuz that meant everythin went threw and they need my mom permission to hire me)but i didnt take the test...long story short i have to do every thing over and took the test (which i passed)but they havent called me ..so i am worried that it showed up! help!!!!!!!
Juvenile Shoplifting Offense
I wasn't there, and I have no way of finding out what happened. If you need additional assistance and your parents are unwilling or unable to help, I suggest you contact a local lawyer.
