How Much Jail Time For A Probation Violation
I violated probation on my very first appointment. I called my probation officer the day before my appointment to let her know I didn't have the money for my fine. She gave me a court date which I missed because I had turned myself into a another county, also for violation of probation, and I was released the same day as my appointment. So now I have a warrant out on me for VOP. My original charge was for driving on a suspended license which I did time served for which was 2 days. I have $1050 in fines which I was ordered to pay. I have to return to the state and I do plan on turning myself in. How long would I have to sit in jail? My probation was for a year or until I paid my fines and was able to pay the reinstatement fee for my license. I should have the money to pay the fines when I return to the state.

Re: I violated - how long could I sit in jail?
You could serve out the remainder of the sentence for the underlying charge. We don't know what that is, so I can't be more specific. Consult a criminal defense lawyer.
