Can Landlord Increase Rent when Co-Tenant Leaves Under the La Rso
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California, Los Angeles.
I have lived with my roommate for over 25 years in a apartment on a co-signed lease. The lease is under the Rent Stablilization Ordinance. She plans to move out and wants her name off the lease when it is up for renewal. I prefer to stay. Can the landlord raise the rent to market value, or is he limited to a certain percentage? Thanks.

Study up on the Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance, Chapter XV at:

That's where your answer should be.

The HCIDLA also has an Ask HCIDLA page.
