    Deferred Judgment And Criminal Record
    hi
I was held up in Iowa state for DUI. I havent had my hearing yet. i wanted to know if i ask for defereed judgement, will it show on my criminal record in the time periodthe deferred judgement is active.

i'm asking this because i have just signed a job offer. they will be doing m,y background check in about 15 days.

also, i have signed teh job offer, but i ahvent as yet filled an employment form etc. which asks for my criminal record. i am expecting them to make me fill such a form. my job is in california, and i'll be moving there. so if before that my hearing gets over and i am allowed deferred judgement, do i still need to say yest to any misdememanor or felony on the form.

do you think it would affect my employment?

    thanks a lot

You should expect that your criminal record would reflect a deferment as the disposition of your case. I suggest you get help from an Iowa drunk driving defense lawyer.
