Shoplifting Charge Changed to Municipal Ordinance
    Hi,

I wanted to know what does it means by Shoplifting charge amended to B. O. 5-14.3 (Loitering)?

If someone asks "Have you ever convicted in a crime" Can i say NO

Will it show on Backgrond check? I think arrest will still show up.

    Thanks,

My attorney said that this is a local violation and is not treated as a crime and If someone asks "Have you ever convicted in a crime" I can say NO

B.O. - in this context, I'm assuming you mean borough ordinance, and you're not being fined for poor personal hygiene. ;) You didn't identify your state, but it's not unusual (in those states that have them) for a borough ordinance violation to be treated as something less than a criminal conviction.

Have you ever been charged for poor hygiene? I have never heard that.

Well state is new jersey and township is edison. I hope you have the information now can you suggest what is the charge now?
