Hi,
I wanted to know what does it means by Shoplifting charge amended to B. O. 5-14.3 (Loitering)?
If someone asks "Have you ever convicted in a crime" Can i say NO
Will it show on Backgrond check? I think arrest will still show up.
Thanks,

the answer is "yes" to conviction.. and it will show up in background check
My attorney said that this is a local violation and is not treated as a crime and If someone asks "Have you ever convicted in a crime" I can say NO
B.O. - in this context, I'm assuming you mean borough ordinance, and you're not being fined for poor personal hygiene. ;) You didn't identify your state, but it's not unusual (in those states that have them) for a borough ordinance violation to be treated as something less than a criminal conviction.
You've never heard of B.O.?
(Jokes aren't funny if you have to explain them.)
