I was speaking about the federal preemption against electronic communications for gambling. Start here. Note the article is over three years old so there are more states now that ban it. http://www.ncsl.org/research/civil-a...sy-sports.aspx

This link seems to have been updated on the first of this month.

I have no idea what the adjective daily means in this context.

    The software costs alone significant.

26 hours ago you weren't even talking about fantasy sports. Now you think you know enough to start a website?

lol, I didn't mention fantasy sports but that was my intention when asking about gambling, I'm sorry if it caused some confusion.

I'm a software developer and I can make the platform but I wanted to look into the legal aspect before taking on the development.

You've got legal issues in every state you want to operate.
You've got issues with a lot of the banking companies. Even when gambling transactions are legal under the banking laws, you'll find many payment processors who are unwilling to process such transactions (for example, PayPal won't even let a non-profit conduct a legal raffle with their service).

I also find it hard to believe there's any uniqueness to your scheme. Hell, I saw a fantasy site for the Scripps Spelling Bee this year.

Sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through, thank for the info.

It's certainly not unique because it's a fantasy site it's just in a sport that I haven't seen that's been done before (I've searched around).
