You are still considered a minor until you are 18 years of age.
Parents of a minor would need to petition for your emancipation.
Have you reported the abuse to CPS?
Re: need information please
when i was younger i called a hot line and i told them that i am afraid of him and they said there was nothing they could do... it seems he picks on me if i breath wrong and if i try to talk to him i get grounded or hit or yelled ever mean name in the book... i have a boyfriend of 16 months and his mom is more family then my own.... if i do report it i am scared they will send me to my moms and she drinks non-stop and it is the same environment.. so what good would that do.. my b/f mom has said i could live with her and his sister.. or i could move in with my b/f.. just ne where is better than here..

If you are getting abused then you keep reporting it until they investigate.
You can not legally live with your boyfriend's parents without having parental consent.

Re: need information please
You cannot move out without permission until you are 18 unless you are removed from the home by CPS.

See my post above yours (we were posting at the same time.)
No one can say what for certain if you will be removed from the home. However, they may recommend counseling to improve the family situation, perhaps find other living arrangements for you and yes, that may include putting you in foster care.

Re: Florida Emancipation Information
If you go to that link it will answer your questions. I don't have all the facts as to why they haven't intervened.
As I said, it is possible that they won't remove you from the home and that counceling will help in this situation.

Re: Florida Emancipation Information
IB, this is a legal forum.
What that means is the advice given should be legal to the best of your knowledge.
Otherwise instead of being a forum that helps people, we would be a forum that got people into worse trouble than they're already in.
ok?
