I Want To Know About Moving Out

so my dad and my step mom are getting divorced...basically because she treats me like crap but i know that my dad will cave because he really loves her and they are basically soul mates. And i dont want them to divorce because i know that they are good for eachother. So since i know he wont go through with the whole thing...i want to move out. i have a place where i can go. i will be 17 in a month so do all i need to move out is their permission.. but if i get thier permission...can they call the police and bring me right back? (my step mom likes to do things out of spite to me)

Yes they can call Police and you will be listed as a runaway.

ok ..but my bother [same age] has already moved out..and the cops havent done anything about it since he is about to be 17[same birthday we're twins] so since they didnt do anything about him does that mean that they can still do something about me?

Police are reluctant to pursue 17 year olds that doesnt make it legal. If parents push issue yes they can go get you! If you run off then try for emancipation the judge will look at it as if your not mature enough to deal with real world. If your being abused report otherwise deal with it until you reach age 18 or get parental consent to live on your own

well i know its really immature to bring this up but i decided not to be emancipated..i want to have parents...so is it true that if the police bring me back once at 17 and i "run away" again they cant do anything after that?

What the police do (or do not do) will depend upon their department policies.

Hmmm Boot Camp is an option

well if they threaten boot camp then i guess i'll just have to tough it out for one more year..one year won't kill me.thanks for your help though :)
