If the LA Court policy on this changed we would immediately know about it. Actually, the Courts and Media would likely broadcast that change far in advance of its implication as to expedite the willful paying of these citations in an effort to not clog the courts with failure to appears and warrants. So your above reason for not telling them does not hold water. Moreover, there are other legal ways to beat this same citation that you (and others) will not tell the OPs either.
Who said it would be "gleefully" given? You are unbiased, aren't you? Further, you would not be "ignoring the legal process." You would be informing the OPs OF the current legal process.
You are a good writer but sometimes very transparent with your unwillingness to help these people.
Correction: 'implementation'

It's pretty obvious to me which side he's on. But I've already known this from all the bad advice he gave me concerning my own case in 2017. He tried to convince me that the vehicle code which ultimately helped me win wasn't relevant to my case even though the judge agreed with me that it was. He further tried to discourage me from fighting the ticket by claiming I needed surveys and professional clock takers to win my case when all I needed was a video of the traffic light violating this code.
I swear most of these people giving advice here are paid trolls who would like nothing more than all of us to bend over to Big Brother and pay up.

I don't think they're paid. They would, however, like us all to "bend over to Big Brother and pay up." Why? Well, there's all kinds of people under the sky. Don't waste your time pondering that.
Re: Culver City California Red Light Camera Ticket, Not My Car
Manny asked if there's other ways to beat these tickets. Here's a few.
1. In California some police departments send out fake red light camera tickets (Snitch Tickets) which are designed to get you to tell them the name of the actual driver of the car. Snitch Tickets are described in Cal. Veh. Code 40518, which requires that at the top of the page they must say, “Courtesy Notice, This is Not a Ticket.” Despite that totally clear message - that the Snitch Ticket is a fake and thus can be ignored - many people respond and tell the police who was driving the car! (And then the police send that person a real ticket.)
2. It is widely known that in San Mateo County (tickets from Daly City, Millbrae, Menlo Park, and the City of San Mateo) you can get a $100 discount off the fine by going to an in-court arraignment session and entering your guilty plea there.
3. It is worthwhile to look at your ticket to see if it was served on time. Most tickets will contain a statement by the person who put it in the mail. If the ticket was mailed more than 11 or 12 days after the date of the violation, it was served too late and you can “demur” to it and make it go away. That deadline is in CVC 40518 and CVC 23.
Re: Culver City California Red Light Camera Ticket, Not My Car
Also, per code, the photo must clearly identify the driver. My traffic lawyer beat my red light citation that way. He told the prosecutor that if he chose to proceed with the charges, he would make the citing officer pick me out of a six-pack lineup. He immediately dropped the charges.
Police do not follow the law when bringing these charges against us. They often take advantage of us just like criminals do...looking for a weakness and seizing the moment for the possibility of a gain.
