Minor's Name Change in New York
i live in new york. my son has my last name. his father is on the birth certificate and has signed acknowledgement of paternity. he pays 50 dollars a month for child support. when we went to court for child support he told the judge he wanted his son to have his last name the judge told him he had to talk to me about that. i was wondering if he try to change it any other way.

I am a little unsure of what you are trying to ask, but if you are asking if he can change the child's name with out your consent, the answer is no.
The only LEGAL way to change the child's name would be before the courts, or if the two of you agreed and submitted the necessary petition to the courts. He can't change it without you knowing about it.
