Is It Legal to Sleep with a Girl with Bipolar Disorder
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

I was wondering what the legal status in Ohio is on sleeping with a girl with bipolar disorder. Is a female with bipolar disorder capable of consenting to sex? It would seem blatantly obvious to me that yes, but I need to double check. Please cite any relevant case law or statutes confirming this to be the case. Thanks.

Assuming that the girl is of consenting age, of course it's legal. Having bi-polar disorder doesn't make you incapable of thinking. One of my best friends is bi-polar; she takes her meds regularly and you'd never know there was anything wrong with her.

There are no statutes or case law because the law does not take a position on the matter of who may sleep with who as long as they are both over the age of consent.

As long as the female is the age of consent and has not been found to be mentally incompetent you are good to go.

Things are legal unless there are laws against them.

Being bipoolar does not automatically translate into being incompetent, and most bipolar persons are competent even when not medicated. Some are not competent at times when not medicated, or when their meds are not working as intended. So the mere fact that somebody is bipolar does not tell us enough to answer the question.
