You might also talk very serious with him if he continues to say hes innocent fine then ask attorney to get him off. If hes not or he cant win then go for pleae agreement like diversion. The penalties will be much stiffer he he fights charge and is convicted! BTW lot sof kids get money from Mom and Dad only to steal items and keep money thats not a defense!

No I know, and I do want to hear your opinions regardless of what they are. However I gave him noney to buy everything in 7eleven, why would he steal? I didn't raise him that way. Also on the camera you can see that the worker approached him in the middle of the store, not security, worker and didn't let him leave even though he had nothing on him. So as far as video thats all there is to it. And u can't tell whether or not he took something as he picked up the box of whatever he dropped facing the camera with his back. So....

90% of the people I catch shoplifting have more money on them in cash then what they stole. Just because people have the money does not mean they don't steal. He would have stole it because maybe he wanted to keep some of the money for other things like the arcade or clothes or drugs or what ever he needs money for or wants money for. SOme people do it also because they think they can get away with it. And NO matter how you raise someone it does not mean they will make the best choices everytime. I know you do not want to think he did it or he would because you DID raise him.. so it feels like a reflection on you. And lets say he did try to steal and then tried to leave without the merchandise .. they have the right to hold him until the police arrive. That is like me going to stop a shoplifter but they give me the merchandise back and try to walk off.. I have the right to detain them. But he might have been innocent. It will be hard to prove.
