It's above you my friend , just put your glasses on and read . It's not exactly "Rocket Science" .
PHP Code:
<?
$seniorjudge = "slacker";
echo "seniorjudge joke";
echo "<br/>";
print $seniorjudge;
if ($seniorjudge == slacker); {
print "too lazy to do a search";
}
?>
Re: Right to a Speedy Trial
What seniorjudge was apparently intending to point out is that there is no such thing as a "local statute". States pass statutes, while local governments pass ordinances.
Re: Right to a Speedy Trial
"Speedy Trial rights in Wisconsin
If you are charged with a misdemeanor, your trial must begin within 60 days from the date of your initial appearance in court. A misdemeanor is a crime usually punishable by either a fine or a year or less of incarceration. "
Did a cut and paste of the above.
So today i get a letter from the clerk of courts that says they set a date for a pre-trial tele-conference to talk to the DA on June 1st. I plead not guilty via mail as instructed on the ticket and it was sent registered mail and recieved April 4th.
So here is the question, if we do not come to a plea agreement with this telephone call do they have to get me a court date within 3 more days of the tele conference?

Quoting Wisconsin Statutes, § 346.57(4)(h)
(4) Fixed limits.]In addition to complying with the speed restrictions imposed by subs. (2) and (3), no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of the following limits unless different limits are indicated by official traffic signs:
* * *
(h) In the absence of any other fixed limits or the posting of limits as required or authorized by law, 55 miles per hour.
That appears to be an traffic offense, not a misdemeanor.
