How Can a Defendant Speed Up a Divorce
My ex wife filed for divorce last year. I sent an affidavit consenting to the divorce and sent it to the agency she is using. It has been over a year and the agency has refused to submit anything else to the court to proceed with the divorce.

I am in the middle of getting my green card and ucis have given me 90 days to finalise the divorce. What options do I have to move things along?

Her divorce agency refuse to talk to me or submit anything. I have no contact with her either. There is also a child involved.

Can I just get a divorce myself and start the paperwork from scratch? Or can I get an order to her so the judge can set a date?

I just want to move forward with this divorce and get it finalised. I can fight for custody after. I do not have money for lawyers fees.

If you filed a counterclaim for divorce, you can press ahead on your own counterclaim.

You did not identify your state, so nobody can direct you to state-specific resources.

Realistically speaking, you should find a way to hire a lawyer.

If your wife has an attorney and you do not then you are at a huge disadvantage. Do yourself a favor - get an attorney.
