Is it Legal to Dig for Clams
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Quincy, MA

    All,

    Here's my case:

Last summer I took my niece and sister to the beach in Quincy MA, I had fun to dig clams and we did not know that was illegal. After later police showed up and stopped us digging clams. The he gave me a $50 non-criminal ticket. Because it was non-criminal then I deceived to pay the ticket. But I just got the letter from the Quincy District Court to appear in the court for this offense.

    Here's detail of charge:
    Count /Code/ Offense Description
1 40/21/B Municipal By Law or Ordinance Violation c41 $21

I am so worry about this case, What should I do ? Do I need to hire a lawyer ?

    Any inputs/ helps appreciated.

    Thanks

What does that mean? I think auto-correct kicked in. Did you pay the ticket or not?

    Re: Dig Clams
    Yes, I paid this ticket.

On the ticket, $50 fine is under NON-Criminal fine box.

I would contact the court and when you do have proof that you paid the ticket. Sounds like there may be an issue with your payment of the ticket. In other words, they don't think you did pay it.

Did you see where the payment cleared on your monthly bank or credit card statement?

I made cash payment at City Clerk office, they stamped on the ticket and gave me a copy.

(Quincy doesn't post on this site).

Bleg, I think this is likely a misunderstanding. Take your paid receipt to the court and show it to them. I think that's all you're going to need.
