My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Ohio
I'm doing Ch 7.......retired insurance agent (69yrs old).......Social Security is my only real income. I have a cash job 2 days a week an an office. lawyer has not actually filed yet. I only retained and paid him. Do I tell him and what will happen?...thank you
Re: Ohio Ch 7 Have a Cash Job. What Do I Do
When filed you will have to report all sources of income. You should tell your lawyer and ask him the outcome.

I am going to assume that the office job will at least result in a 1099-MISC (however inappropriate since you are obviously misclassified) which means that you will have to include the income on your tax return, and therefore the bankruptcy court WILL know about the income. It won't be something that you can hide.
