Not Allowed To See Grandson In Arkansas
Before we were married ,my husband had custody of his grandson through DHS. Because his daughter and her boyfriend went through re-hab and always tested negative on drug tests they received him back and the case was closed. They are both using and selling drugs again (the boyfriend is currently in jail). They have little contact with the boy. He stays most of the time with his Maternal Greatgrandparents and grandmother(who also uses drugs). What are the chances we could get custody of our grandson? His manners and general behavior are terrible. He uses language that is very inappropriate. He is 5 years old and has the language skills of a 3 year old. He was to be in speech therapy but the mother would not take him. Do to an altercation last year we have only seen the boy on 3 occassions.Any help?

Given the circumstances, it sounds like you should try to get DHS to reopen their case and again place the child with you.
