Can a Pregnant Teen Marry Without Getting the Father Into Legal Trouble
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Connecticut.
I’m 17 and my Boyfriend is 33 . I have a 2 year old daughter and might be pregnant again with his baby, I wanted to know if there is anyway we could get married in a courthouse with or without parents permission due to his age even if I’m already a mother and have been living with him for 4 months. Just want to know what can be done without him getting into legal trouble. Is emancipation an option or what else is there to do.

He’s not the father of my 2 year old though. I might only be recently pregnant by him but people say since I’m already a mother I could get emancipated

People are wrong.
Being a mother at the age of 15 means you need more adult supervision, not less.

Don’t think I need any at this point if I’m working and caring for my daughter on my own, still in school, and have been doing it alone since 14 but thanks for the input
I qualify because I financially support myself and my daughter, and pay my own rent with no type of help. Just didn’t know if me being a mother already made a difference or not
Re: Can a Pregnant Teen Marry Without Getting the Father Into Legal Trouble
So you're paying every penny of the rent, utility bills, health insurance for you and your daughter, food, clothing, transportation, staples, school supplies, day care, and your 33 year old boyfriend isn't paying any of it?
I didn't think so. No, you're not financially supporting yourself, getting pregnant at 15 means you're not exhibiting the maturity a judge would want to see in an emancipated minor, and you don't qualify for emancipation.
Re: Can a Pregnant Teen Marry Without Getting the Father Into Legal Trouble
I love when people speak like if they actually know how others lives are but actually yes I pay every penny myself I don’t ask him for anything he still tries and tries but I don’t accept it. Everything my daughter and I have I pay for regardless if I can get emancipated or not I’m doing better than even some adults, that’s why people shouldn’t judge when they hear about teen parents because not all of us depend on our parents, spouse, or the state.
