Can you please just answer my question? Can I file myself on a site like legal zoom? I have the ability to do anything I put my mind too and I can't afford 1000s of dollars to get a divorce.
No, you cannot file on a site like legal zoom. You can probably get a packet of forms to fill out at your local courthouse. However, there isn't going to be anyone who can walk you through them unless your local courthouse has a self help center or something similar.
It would be so much easier to do this with an attorney.

Mr. Knowitall
That is for Nebraska. He has lived in PA for 2 years. He can file there.

SO I can just file here in PA then? Seeing as I have bene here long enough..? It doesn't matter about being married in Nebraska??
Re: How to Divorce When You Live in a Different State Than Your Spouse
Here's a forms package from the Pennsylvania courts, and some additional basic information with links to county-specific forms.

You can file in Pennsylvania based upon your own residency. You can file in Nebraska, in the county where your spouse is domiciled, if you prefer to do so and your spouse still lives there. If there are no property issues to resolve and no children, it makes sense to file where you live.
Re: How to Divorce When You Live in a Different State Than Your Spouse
I have no idea if she even still lives in Nebraska anyway. SO I might as well just file here. Thanks for the help. One other question...is there ANY way to make her responsible for the paying of the divorce considering SHE is the one who WANTED it in the first place?
Re: How to Divorce When You Live in a Different State Than Your Spouse
No. You will both pay your own costs.
Re: How to Divorce When You Live in a Different State Than Your Spouse
And what if she decides to fight it for whatever reason, which I highly doubt, should I expect?
Re: How to Divorce When You Live in a Different State Than Your Spouse
You will still pay your own cost of the divorce.

Will the OP have to provide proof he tried to locate his wife by putting an ad in the paper at her last known location ?
