Running on Probation
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia, I’m currently on probation for a Fellony, recieving stolen property(a firearm)
I want to run and move to Colorado. Do you think if I got pulled over or anything there they would see my warrant and send me right back to Georgia?

Re: Running on Probation
Yes they would see it. If they sent you back would be up to the state of Georgia.

Re: Running on Probation
It seems like it wolnt be too long until you get on probation in Colorado...
Like previously stated, it depends on the extradition in the warrant.

Re: Running on Probation
Why run? Interstate probation transfers for those otherwise in good standing are not a big thing? Have you discussed this with your PO?
Running is bad. Yes, you can be arrested in Colorado. Yes, you might be held there in jail until someone from Georgia decides whether it's worth a road trip to come get you. Even if they decline to have an interestate warrant out, you're still a fugitive and that can continue to haunt you. Your probation time doesn't run while you're an absconder.
