Demand for Money and Threats of Prosecution After Sending Nude Photo

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia. I talked to a "woman" on a dating site. Her profile said she was 29. I have screen shot of the profile. She asked for my number. Then she texted me a few days later asking for nude photos and sent a nude video. I then sent a nude photo of myself. A few days later a man calls saying it was a minor I was communicating with and demands money or he will go to child protective services. I gave him $100 via western union. He want an additional $300. What should I do? Go to the police?

It is a well known scam and extortion. The bad news is that you are never going to see your money back again. The good news is that they aren't going to the police or CPS.

Don't reply and block him if you can and don't send pictures to people you don't know.

Stop sending nude pictures of yourself to strangers. If it had been an actual minor your screen shot would mean nothing, just the same as if you met in person and the girl showed you fake ID - that's not a defense or justification.

Ignore future communications from this person and whatever you do don't send more money.

If (and it's extremely unlikely) the police contact you about this matter KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT - say nothing, and then get yourself an attorney.

Note that Western Union is largely untraceable. Once you provide the transaction number to the other party they can retreive it pretty much anywhere in the world. WU warns you about this.
