Is There a Time Limit for Inner State Transfer
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
I was going to be released from prison and got another charge in prison. Upon release I paroled to a hold
In the country the prison was located in. The county the prison is in is five hours away from the county I was in when I was originally sent to prison. I know no one in the prison county. So they released me from county and a transfer was meant to go thru. NOW three years later they are just saying something about the transfer! Is there a time limitation they have to go by??? Shouldn't it be voided due to their error?
Re: Is There a Time Limit for Inner State Transfer
I'm a little confused. Are you currently on parole?
You say you got "another charge in prison" ... what do you mean by that? Did you so something while IN prison and got charged with a new crime? if so, did you ever go to trial for that new offense?
When you say "transfer" what do you mean? if you are not in custody, it's NOT a "transfer." The county where the crime occurred may have a warrant for your arrest, but that's not a "transfer."
You may want to bring what true facts and paperwork you have to a local attorney and ask for a consultation. What you have written is ... confusing.
