Yes she can. All she has to do is sue you and prove you are the father.

I'm not on the birth certificate I have no rights to the child never seen the child she left cause she didn't want me to be a part of the child's life

    Re: Child Support
That doesn't matter. The court can find you to be the father with a simple DNA test and if you are the father you will be granted parental rights.

She isn't going to be able to have her cake and eat it too. If she wants to try to establish you as the father for child support, that establishment is going to give you the opportunity to file for visitation.

    Re: Child Support
Yes, paternity would have to be disestablished before they can come after you. That being said, if she has already started going after you for child support, it's possible the ball is rolling on that.

Has she taken any legal action. Filed suit, sent a demand letter...?

    Re: Child Support
Ok. So I'm pretty sure she isn't going to disesyablish paternity

At this point it's all just been threats from her

She just told me no one is on the birth certificate

So ignore her unless you're served with a lawsuit.

    Seriously.

    Re: Child Support
Don't give her anything voluntarily. She will need to take you to court for anything to happen regardless of whether paternity has already been established or not.

Ignore her until she actually takes you to court.

Well if she takes you to court and you are determined to be the father, you are stuck with her for a while.

    What should I do

You should do nothing...or, if its important to you, call her bluff and file to establish paternity, parenting time, etc.

Re: Child Support When Mother Marries and Puts Husband's Name on the Birth Certificat
    It's not important to me

I just don't want this lady to be a part of my life

How do I get it to where she can't bug me all the time

She says that she will only make me pay half

If she doesn't have to file

WEll, it's harder for people on the outside to bug people in prison, but that's probably not what you mean.

Well you block her on social media and you block her phone number. Hopefully she doesn't know where you work.

It's really easy to ignore people - so just block her on everything you can and until you get something from the court that orders you to take a DNA test or anything else then you deal with it then. Right now she has nothing on you. You owe her nothing.
