When Do Yelling, Threats and Hitting Become Child Abuse
My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: florida
my mom is always yelling and screaming and cussing about everything, pulling hair throwing objects like water bottles, brushes and various everyday objects. she hits a lot, and the belt plays a huge role in this too. I've gotten bruises from pinches, hitting, and once she smacked me with the belt so many times, that i had black and blue bruises all over my behind. twice she has given me a bloody nose, and she used allergies as an excuse when the child services came. dad is pretty much always at work, so he is somewhat aware of what is happening. she has anxiety, and she uses that as an excuse, and blames literally everything on me my older sis and baby sis, and says we are the reason all this happens.
our grandma on my dads side is pretty much aware of what happens here because i tell her about mostly everything because she is the only one i feel comfortable going to. she says she doesn't want to do anything about it because like all of us she is scared of my mom. this has been going on far to long. I'm 13 my older sis is 15 and baby sis is 4 we are all treated pretty much the same. and just adding another thing but my mom and dad literally always fight about everything and about the stupidest things yelling screaming for hours on end. she has threatened to leave many times, and threatened for divorce many times, but she doesn't want to leave because then she doesn't have anywhere to go or anyone to take care of her, and she doesn't want to have to find a job because she is lazy and depends on everyone to do everything for her.
she doesn't help out around the house either. she will freak out at everyone else to clean there dishes or clean up after themselves then turn around and tell me or one of my sisters to clean up her mess. that gets annoying fast. i have so much i can vent about, but I'm gonna stop here. idk what to do or what to consider this. please help.
Re: What Would Be Considered Abuse
Tell a trusted teacher or school counselor what is happening. They are required by law to report abuse. You don't need to know what amounts to abuse. You need to ask an adult to help.
Re: What Would Be Considered Abuse
I've talked to my councilor at school and she said all it is is good parenting. but she still seemed concerned. but i also don't go there, anymore, I'm on online school. and i don't have a councilor anymore. i don't have another adult to talk to.

Then you can report it yourself by calling: -800-422-4453
Re: What Would Be Considered Abuse
I'm just not sure if that would be considered abuse.
Re: What Would Be Considered Abuse
Do you attend church? If so, go to the minister. If he/she won't help, keep going to adults in positions of trust (like doctor, dentist,...) until you get someone to listen.
Re: What Would Be Considered Abuse
You don't have to know if it's considered abuse. You report it, and let the experts figure it out.

You need to talk to a trusted adult. What you have described is abuse. Your mom sounds like she has some serious issues and the fact that your dad and grandma aren't doing anything about it is even worse. Talk to a counselor or a teacher asap. Hopefully by now you have gotten help.

You need to report this to someone.
https://www.childhelp.org/hotline/ Childhelp® is a national organization that provides crisis assistance and other counseling and referral services. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline external linkis staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with professional crisis counselors who have access to a database of 55,000 emergency, social service, and support resources. All calls are anonymous. Contact them at 1.800.4.A.CHILD (1.800.422.4453).
If you think you're being abused you report it. From what I've read even though corporal punishment is still legal in all states and many statutes related to it state that the punishment has to be reasonable and not excessive. To me what you described sounds pretty excessive and unreasonable.
Just please get some help.

Re: When Do Yelling , Threats and Hitting Become Child Abuse
If you run away they will take you back home. If abuse is suspected they might put you and your siblings in foster care
