Either pay a lawyer or continue paying what you feel are inflated child care costs.

Considering what you are getting charged for daycare, how can you NOT afford a lawyer? You will either continue to pay this crazy expense, or get one, and pay that for a short duration. Seems to me like an attorney would be money well invested, even if it requires debt on a credit card.

qwaspolk69, I have taken him to court to pay his half of daycare costs. I was made to prove every hour I worked, every hour I went to school, on the road, etc. and he still only had to pay $500 of a bill that was over $3,000. I have talked to a couple of lawyers in the area and most suggest I fight for the Right of First Refusal, but given distance, past domestic violence, non-communication on his part, the judge will not consider it. Their other suggestion is that I take an attorney with me so the judge will not stop me from speaking, tell me ridiculous things (like I need to quit my jobs) and actually listen to my concerns.

I may have to just find a way to pay for an attorney. I can't continue racking up these false bills.

Thank you for your response. The money I was ordered to pay him isn't coming out of my pocket, it's being garnished from my child/spousal support. So I have less money coming in than before now.

Thank you. I am looking for a way. :miserable:
